Since 1990, China Arts College and the Taoist Alchemical Studies Center (TASC) have served as centres for the study, practice, and transmission of classical Taoist Internal Alchemy (Neidan), Chinese internal martial arts, and related Taoist sciences. These institutions were founded to integrate traditional Chinese Taoist knowledge with contemporary research, education, and carefully applied modern methodologies.
Under the guidance of Prof. dr. Dan K.J. Vercammen, known in China as Fei Danning (費丹凝), teaching and research have consistently emphasized authenticity, depth, and respect for Chinese and Taoist traditions.

China Arts College and TASC have always maintained a clear methodological position: Taoist teachings are approached within their original Chinese cultural, philosophical, and practical context. Rather than adapting Taoism to modern Western frameworks, students are guided to develop understanding from a Chinese and Taoist perspective, grounded in classical sources, lived practice, and lineage transmission.

Taoist Internal Alchemy (Neidan), based on the Jindan (Golden Cinnabar) tradition as transmitted within the Yinyangpai (Yinyang Current), has formed the core of teaching and research since the beginning. This alchemical tradition provides the foundation for all practices, including meditation, internal martial arts, breathing methods, and Taoist health cultivation. Through structured training methods, students worldwide learn to establish stability, cultivate inner clarity, and address internal conflicts that shape both personal development and engagement with the world. As expressed in a classical Taoist saying: “Your fate depends on yourself, not on Heaven.”

In 2025, China Arts College and TASC evolved into Taoist-Lifestyle.com, an independent educational platform with a global reach. Taoist-Lifestyle.com continues the same lineage, research focus, and teaching principles developed since 1990, while making authentic Taoist education accessible to an international audience. Its mission is to provide high-quality education, research, and reliable information on Taoist Internal Alchemy, Chinese culture, and internal martial arts. All activities are supported through participation fees and publication sales, which are reinvested into education, research, and publications.
