The Research Centre Behind
Taoist-Lifestyle.Com
TASC (Taoist Alchemical Studies Centre) was founded in 1990 to preserve, study, and apply the Taoist sciences of practice — including Taoist philosophy, Taoist medicine, internal martial arts, and Taoist Internal Alchemy (Neidan 內丹).
All activity within Taoist-Lifestyle.com — from short programs and retreats to long-term education — is rooted in the research, fieldwork, and practice cultivated within TASC.

Research, Preservation & Application
TASC operates through three interwoven pillars:
1) Research & Text Study
We investigate Taoist culture and classical sources through long-term study, translation, and academic writing. Research is supported by a specialised library containing rare works, even in China.
2) Fieldwork & Living Practice
Taoist practice cannot be understood through theory alone. Therefore, book knowledge is tested and deepened through field research, lived cultivation, and direct practice experience — both in China and internationally.
3) Education & Transmission
TASC provides the foundation for structured education: from introductory practice programs to advanced, lineage-based long-term study. Our aim is to transmit Taoist knowledge responsibly, without dilution or superficial interpretation.

A Rare Taoist Research Library
TASC holds an extensive research library with books and specialist materials
that are rare, even in China.
In addition, TASC holds a physical Daoist Canon (Daozang 道藏) in its collection— a unique resourcein Europe and a cornerstone
of serious Taoist study.

From Research to Living Practice
TASC research is not separate from practice —
it directly shapes the learning paths offered by
Taoist-Lifestyle.Com.
