About

Baxian Xinggong The Walking Exercises of the Eight Immortals Baxian Xinggong is a refined Taoist walking practice inspired by the legendary Eight Immortals (Baxian). It is part of Yuanqigong (元氣功) — the art of cultivating Primary Qi — and belongs to the Taoist tradition of yangshengfa (養生法), methods for nourishing life. Developed by Taoist alchemist and physician Dr. Fu Qinglong and transmitted to Dr. Dan Vercammen, this practice is rooted in ancient Taoist walking exercises and living Taoist knowledge. Each of the eight movements expresses the qualities and symbolism of one of the Eight Immortals, gently stimulating the body’s qi pathways, with particular focus on the Ba Mai (Eight Extraordinary Vessels). Through mindful walking and meditative movement, the exercises help relax and stretch the spine, open the joints, strengthen the legs, deepen the breath, improve circulation, and support overall vitality. Practised as a complete set, they give the body a subtle internal massage and promote balance, calm, and wellbeing. This self-paced online program requires no equipment and very little space, making it easy to practise at home or outdoors. It combines well with Daoyin training and is taught in Dutch with English subtitles. For whom is this program? Suitable for anyone interested in Taoist movement and health cultivation, practitioners of qigong, taijiquan, or meditation, and those seeking a gentle yet effective way to improve mobility, breathing, and vitality. Appropriate for both beginners and experienced practitioners. No prior experience is required; careful attention to the instructions is essential. 🌀 3 months (90 days) access 🌀 Downloadable video lessons 🌀 9 lessons with 26 clear steps 🌀 Handouts, drawings, and background material 🌀 Start whenever it suits you
