The Taoist-Lifestyle.Com Academy welcomes a small number of dedicated students each year—individuals who feel drawn to a sincere and long-term study of Taoist Internal Alchemy.

Participation takes place within a limited cohort, allowing Prof. Dr. Dan K.J. Vercammen to follow each student personally and to offer the careful guidance, corrections, and genuine transmission that form the heart of the Academy.

The Academy offers a personal and largely self-paced path of study. We understand that every student develops differently and that work, family and other life circumstances may sometimes influence the pace of study. There is therefore room to progress more slowly when genuinely needed.

​

At the same time, personal guidance works best within a clear and supportive structure. The Academy consists of three consecutive levels, each requiring a minimum of one year. Students maintain a daily practice, send a short private practice update each week—including a representative practice video—participate in live online Academy meetings and normally attend at least one period of in-person training in France during each active year.

All weekly practice updates and videos remain completely private between the individual student, Prof. Dr. Dan K.J. Vercammen and Angela J.H. Verkade. They are not uploaded to the shared Academy environment, shared with other students or shown or discussed during Academy meetings. Personal observations, corrections and feedback also remain private.

​

Self-paced therefore means that your development does not have to follow exactly the same speed as that of other students. It does not mean that the essential parts of the Academy can be left out or replaced. This shared structure allows Prof. Dr. Dan K.J. Vercammen to follow your development carefully and provide meaningful personal guidance and assessment throughout the program.

Applications are open to:

• Serious newcomers who are ready to begin a committed path of study and practice

• Students seeking long-term development in Taoist Internal Alchemy

• Practitioners with experience in Taoist or related disciplines

• Participants who are already familiar with our programs or approach

​

You do not need to have extensive previous experience. Sincerity, openness, continuity and a genuine willingness to practise and receive guidance are equally important.

The application gives Angela J.H. Verkade and Prof. Dr. Dan K.J. Vercammen insight into your background, motivation and practical circumstances, including your availability for online study and in-person training in France.

After reviewing your application:

• You will receive access to the complete Stage 1 program guide

• Suitable candidates will be invited to a personal online intake conversation

This process allows us to become acquainted with you and to explore whether the Academy—or another way of studying with us—would be the most suitable path for you at this moment. It also helps us maintain a meaningful, personal and committed learning environment for everyone involved.
